"Cannot open port" error

Another program is using the port. Close Setonline or any other serial port program.

The device is not found during search

Readings drop out from time to time

• Set the polling rate to 1 s or 2 s.
• On long cables or in electrically noisy environments, check the RS485 line termination resistor.

"Writing is locked" warning

Enable writing with the lock button in the top bar.

Verification error (verify)

The value read back from the device differs from the one written. Check the connection and try again. If the problem persists, open the Communication Log and inspect the device's response.

Settings are lost when the device is powered off

You probably did not click Save at the end. See Permanent storage on the Write Safety page.
