The Communication Log button in the top bar opens a dark panel at the bottom of the window. It shows every Modbus frame sent and received, in hexadecimal:

• TX (blue): Command sent
• RX (green): Device response
• ER (red): Error

Click the trash can button in the panel to clear the log. The panel is especially useful for diagnosing connection problems.
